[Well, that was an unwanted and frustrating delay to his return home. It took longer than he'd like to finally get off the train, but eventually he does get let off. He doesn't immediately to the mansion, instead opting to go somewhere to get himself cleaned up and pick up an apology present for Belle. Something to help soothe the time apart.

Then, he makes his way to the mansion. He actually hasn't been here before, since Belle got it while he was in El Nido. In truth... he's not sure how he feels living in a mansion again, needing a moment to collect himself outside when it comes into view. He would've preferred to stay at the old place... but he's sure he'll get used to it.

He can't run away from every aspect of his past.

Once he's ready though, he'll walk up to the door. He'll give a knock or two of warning before he uses the security key to let himself in. Into the foyer, he'll call out]

Belle! Your no-good older brother is home!

[It's words he's been wanting to say for a long time now. Tiny apartment, mansion- it doesn't matter in the end. As long as his sister's there, that's home enough for him]

[What greets him are the Bangboo first, running around doing their jobs and picking up after what looks like an ungodly amount of cats. Then Belle calls from upstairs:]

Zelos! I'm coming!

[She all but flies downstairs, covered in a fine layer of dust, her hair kept out of her face with a bandana, her hands in gloves. She's clearly been doing some cleaning, and she hugs Zelos the second she can get close enough.]

I missed you. [How could she not? He's her brother. Then she pulls away, and smiles, a little embarrassed.] Sorry about all the dust. The house is huge, Bunbastion can't cover everything.

[Though bless its heart for trying anyway.]

Your room's totally soundproofed, by the way, you're welcome. Security system's up and running, but I do have some bad news for you—for some reason we started getting a lot of cats coming around, and Her Majesty the ghost kitty threw a whole tantrum about that, and your vase became a casualty.

[Actually it was shot by a surprised Bangboo but shhhh.]

Oh, yeah! We've got a ghost cat.

[Of course the bangboo would be the first to greet him. Zelos notices the signs of cats being there, but he opts to focus on what he cares about first. He grins at Bangboo and give them friendly headpats, but then pulls away when he hears Belle bounding down the stairs.

Which....yeah, she's definitely dirty and covered in dust- but he doesn't care. He'll return that hug warmly, giving her a headpat as she pulls away.]

Hey there sis! I missed you too!

[And then Belle starts going a mile a minute talking about everything. It's a lot to take in, so he holds up his hand]

Whoa, whoa- slow down! I just got in, no need to speedrun the updates!

[Honestly. ]

How about we sit down in... wherever the living room is and talk there? Let me get off my feet?

Sure, sure. Let me just wash my hands first, I've been [and she grimaces, looking like she kinda hates herself for putting herself through this,] cleaning.

[Cleaning up a huge mansion, even with two Bangboo helping, is a much harder task than cleaning an apartment on your own. Next time she's just hiring some cleaners. She moves away and to the kitchen to wash up her hands, and in the meantime calls:]

Oh—I got you something for the coming spring and summer. It's in the living room sitting on top of the latest chocolates from your admirers.

[It's a sun hat with a red string tied around it, and a pair of snazzy aviator sunglasses that Eous is sneakily putting back on the table after having tried them on itself.]

[He'll snort] Yeah, I can tell. Have you tried using a feather duster instead of yourself?

[He says that teasingly, heading toward the living room. With his angel hearing, he can hear her just fine. ]

Ohhhh, a present for me? You shouldn't have! 💖 [Walking into the living room, he'll spot the gift. He grins a little as he picks up] Hey, new hat and sunglasses~! [He'll immediately put them on, posing for Eous] How they look?

A feather duster can't mop the floors, Zelos!

[Eous seems to mull this over, peering at Zelos as if it's a judge at a fashion show. Then it nods sagely and pronounces with great gravity, Ehn-ne. (You're beach-ready.) Belle picks that moment to come back into the room, casually pat Zelos's shoulder, and just as casually steal a chocolate right in full view as she flops onto the nearest chair.

And just sprawls out with a melodramatically exhausted sigh.]

Your baby sister spent a week and a half working on a new security system, and I'm proud to say that unless someone is very determined, it'll stand up to most hacker attacks.

[There's a meow from a corner.]

It'll let any stray cat in, though, apparently.

[Does Zelos know what Eous is saying? No. But it sounds positive, so he'll grin and give him a thumbs up going "thanks lil guy" before he flops down into a chair as Belle is coming in. As she grabs a chocolate, he's digging into his own bag to pull out a drink that's been sealed and stored away- offering to her it and the straw to puncture the seal]

Thank you for the new stuff~ And here. New drink to wash down all those chocolates with, and a thank you for all your hard work.

[He knows his sister loves trying new stuff, so might as well get one that seems particularly fancy]

Well, they don't call them "cat" burglars for nothing. So long as we can rest without worrying about human invaders, that's fine.

But seriously, what is with all the cats? Did they come with property?

I feel like a mop, all wrung dry. Ow.

[But she will accept the drink and take a sip of it, delighted by the new taste.]

Where'd you get this? Is this from the shop down the street? I've been dying to try their new stuff. [Sluuurp.] Thanks! And you're welcome. The cats are... [She shrugs, a little helplessly.] I have no idea. First it was Her Majesty the ghost cat, and then suddenly all these stray cats started coming in and out. I don't know why, the house didn't come with cats included.
